Youth Scape Park Bazaar - Collection #3 01/16/2010
9th January 2010-by Besties Closet Blogger Chris We were very excited about the bazaar. But was rather disappointed when we realised how small our stall was. The spacing between each stalls was barely one arm's length. Nevertheless, we still put in all effort we can to doll up our stall within our given area. =D ![]() Hanging up the dresses. Our display board. =D Collection #3 displayed on the table. Ming Yun at our booth. =D Our stall =D View of our stall from the stage. The crowd wasn't that overwhelming as we had anticipated. Guess most other vendors didn't make a profit too. Towards the end of the bazaar, instead of making more sales, we ended up making friends with other blogshop owners there. That's why we just created the "Links" category. =D ![]() Looks crowded? Most were actually vendors walking around. Haha! =D Ming Yun and I <3 Isabelle and I <3 Although we made a loss at this bazaar, we gain valuable experience through observing how the other vendors operate and customers behaviours. Some lessons we learnt from this experience are: 1. Shouldn't have put up all the photos on our display board - Looks complicated 2. Customers prefer to patronise stalls which have mirrors 3. Customers are more attracted to clothes displayed on the table rather than on the rack 4. Should have done prior research before participating in such bazaar Hope that this valuable experience will aid us in our participation in such bazaar in the future. We won't give up. We'll still like to go for such bazaar as it's the most direct way to let people know about Besties Closet. =D By the way, we've launched our Collection #3! All are selling at $15 each! Do keep your enquiries and orders coming in! =D Have a happy weekend to all! =D Add Comment We welcomed the New Year with our #2! 01/01/2010
31st December 2009-by Besties Closet Blogger Chris HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Wonder how we count-downed to New Year's Day? The answer, as the title suggests, is the preparation and launching of our 2nd & 3rd collection. It was an extremely long and tiring day again but we had fun. Were very pleased with the fruits of our labour of that day. =D Our initial plan was to take our pictures at Marina Barrage. Went there once and it was love at first sight to me. It's a beautiful place with extremely good lighting. However, sadly, it was closed for fireworks preparation for the countdown celebration. Wanted to go Esplanade instead but brushed off the idea cos we thought it might be crowded. Eventually, we went back to Safra again. Haha! =D We reached our shooting site at around 3pm+. Settled down at the resting area in Safra cos it was near the washroom. =D The lighting there was not too bad too cos it was a bright sunny day. We were lucky. =D ![]() Our two 'bodyguards' of the day! :p Apparently, they were well prepared. =D Candid shot. Taking my lunch. =D Taken at the stairway while I was still lunching. Nice sun rays. =D Ming Yun: Help you pin mei mei hor. Isabelle: How to use? ... Snappy! Say CHEESE! =D Isabelle: Shh... Don't tell people I like to take pictures of myself. :p We were very engrossed in our photoshoot that we really didn't bothered about our 'bodyguards'. They 'entertained' themselves while we were having our own fun with the photoshoot. ![]() Sexy yeah pose! Haha! =D Ming Yun: So ugly lor! LOL! =D Simply love this flora dress! Me: Let me see. Ming Yun: Yeah! Nice shot! =D :p Ming Yun helping me adjusting the dress. =D The lighting wasn't getting any better as time passes during the shoot. So we changed our background. Wanted to use the plants as the new background but it made me look like I was promoting Safra instead of the dress! Haha! =D But we managed to find a more decent background with reasonably good lighting. =D ![]() Welcome to Safra! This was so much better! =D So for the rest of the shots, we used this background except for the 2 designs below. ![]() Carefree pose! =D Happy! =D Ming Yun directing Isabelle on the angel of her pose. Smiling for Ming Yun's camera. =D After the outdoor shots, it was back indoor again. So much comfortable in air-con room! Haha! =D ![]() Yes, it was tiring. And she was getting a little high. Maybe not a little... Haha! =D Focusing on getting a good shot. Funky pose =D She loves the hat! =D The last design! Finally! =D That's the last shot of the day. =D All pictures in Collection #2 are originals thanks to the good lighting. For Collection #1, the lighting wasn't too good, so we edited the photos so that it's clearer. We did the photoshoot for Collection #3 the same day. However, we will only officially launched it online after this Saturday's bazaar at Youth Scape Park. So do keep a look out for our #3! =D After the photoshoot, we went to Ming Yun's house for some entertainment after a day of hard wor. But we didn't have much entertainment before getting back to work again! What a workaholic we are! Haha! =D Just in one day, we took our photos, posted our 2nd and 3rd collection online, did the newsletter & made our 'name cards' for the up coming bazaar. Sounds like simple tasks but it isn't as easy. While Channel 8 was counting down, we were still working on our stuff. We finally finish our work at 3am. All were very worn out. But we were very happy with what we had done in just one day. =D We worked very hard for our collections. Do support us. We're looking forward to your orders, babes! Order now while stock last! Thanks! Lastly, BIG THANKS to those who supported our first collection! =D Our First Photoshoot! =D 12/10/2009
7th December 2009-By Besties Closet Blogger Chris Finally, it was the day for our very FIRST photoshoot for our very FIRST COLLECTION! Although we were quite tired after our individual programmes in the day, we were very excited yet nervous while setting off for our photoshoot. Initially, we wanted to take our photos outdoor, but the lighting was just too bad. ![]() Attempt shot Ming Yun was still attempting to take a good shot. Isabelle looked like she was scolding Ming! Haha! =D Some pictures taken before we moved indoor: Moving indoors: ![]() Packing up Settling down at our new site Isabelle changing back to her heels Our second shooting site wasn't desirable too due to the lighting again. ![]() Isabelle getting high! Lol! :p Still HIGH! Looking at the shot taken. Ming Yun avoiding my camera. :@ Nice shot! But background not too nice. Switched to another background. The plain background was nice, but we need to use flash. So, the pictures taken wasn't too desirable. Chanced upon our third site which had better lightings. Finally settled down there for the rest of our photoshoot. =D ![]() Don't be mistaken, toilet wasn't smelly at all. Ming Yun just love avoiding my shots. Ming Yun, the photographer and director of the day! Snap, snap, snap! Looking at the good shots taken. Changed to another dress Finally I'm seen behind the scene! Haha! =D Committed photographer and model! Seriously, I was exhausted already. Finally, Ming Yun stop avoiding my camera. =D Isabelle was as exhausted as I was. Still able to act cute though. :p Sexy last shot! This photoshoot was really not as easy as we thought it would had been. We learnt that modeling is really not easy. Our photoshoot lasted for around 2hrs. We were worn out after that. Imagine those professional models who have to pose in front of the camera or do catwalks for several hours, I salute them for their professionalism. Though it was tiring, we had an enjoyable time. Overall, the photos were nice, wasn't a wasted trip. Last but not least, let me end off with some random photos. Thanks for viewing and do support us! =D ![]() Ming Yun: Photographer, Director and Nanny of the day! =D Isabelle: Super Model of the day! =D Chris: Model and Paparazzi of the day! =D Happy models! =D Besties forever! =D Introduction 12/08/2009
